How we keep your data safe

The short version. Every detail, including the outside services we use, is in our policies.

The AI sees only what a feature needs

Chat sends nothing until you ask. Then it sends your question and the records it needs. Importing a new statement layout sends its file name and first rows. Anything you type into chat or import can reach the AI provider.

Who can see your data

The app has no screen for browsing your records, and admins cannot view the app as you. The engineers who run the service can technically reach the database. We never sell your information.

Your bank login stays with your bank

If you connect an institution, you sign in on Plaid’s own screen. Tedd never sees your login and cannot move money.

You stay in control

Download your data, disconnect an institution, clear your chats, or delete your account in Settings. Deleting removes your records from our live systems; we make no promise about backups.

Tedd is a young product in an early, open pilot, with no independent security certification. It is not a bank: we never hold your money and nothing here is FDIC insured.
